Gutentag from Ohio
#1

Im Chris from Dayton, OH. I didnt even realize there wa a 968 forum until now. I do not own a 968 but did own an '86 944 Turbo for about 10 years. One fo the draws to the 968 for me are the early 90s jelly bean colors that Porsche built. I see quite a 968s with great paint schemes. I currently own a 06 Cayman S and 88 930 and both are red -- I didnt want two red cars but it just ended up that way. Id much prefer Signal Green, Mint, Mexico Blue, Raspberry, or some other off-the-wall color. I suppose I will have to wait for a larger bank account and larger garage.

Could be a long wait!

Welcome and please enjoy the site.

The "jelly bean" colors are fairly rare and in some demand, so you may have to wait a while for one to come onto the market, and then pay up.

I'd rather have a Red 968 today that one of the other colors later, but that's just me, and any day without a 968 would be sad.

Good point Jay. Besides, a red one drives just as nice than a Rasberry one :-)

Welcome Chris!

Thanks! I was talking with Jeff Coe on some unrelated 968 stuff and he turned me onto the groupies so I thought I would expand my horizons. Cant ever know enough about these cars. I dont see too many 968s where I live. Once in a while one will pop up on the pubilc roads -- usually a coupe. Of course I see quite a few at the car shows.

Just some randomness but I used to be the co-chairperson of Porsches 2 Oxford in Ohio. We'd get 500 cars from 25 states. Here's one of the rarer 968s to show up back in 2006 or 2007. You guys probably know the car and owner since you are on top of these things...
