Yet Another 3rd Brake Light Posting
#1

I recently saw a Lexus SC and noticed the 3rd brake light. This is obvious a "modern" car and Lexus has decided to follow along with the basic ACS plan of using a 3rd brake light pod on top of the rear deck. I realize that the contours are very different, but the execution is very thin, uses LEDs, and might possibly be a retro fit that would cover the cabs mounting holes etc.

Comments? Anyone have an idea of pricing?

Looks nice. I thought the same thing when driving past a 2005 Ford Thunderbird.

I still think my approach - while not perfect (although it could be made to be) - is much better.

Anchor,

Thats the way it should have been done. Very nice.

I just realized thunderbirds' rear ends look like 964s.

I have no idea on cab 3rd lights but I'd like to watch people try parts from other manufacturers. The results could be pretty interesting! I like Anchorman's solution too but personally I'd just delete the thing altogether and run with the 2 main lights only.

The reason I simply didn't press the "delete" button is that I don't believe I'd pass NJ inspection without a third brake light.

I like the SC430 a lot. But, take it from a Lexus enthusiast for many years, their parts don't come cheap.
