Greetings from Seattle
#1

I thought I had joined this forum back when I bought my 968, but I guess not!

October of 2017 I decided I'd buy myself a birthday present, and stumbled across a 1994 in... relatively OK shape. Laundry list of small issues and a couple major ones.  Of course, the water pump and chain tensioners were done immediately, as it was gushing coolant on my text drive.   Clutch wearing a bit thin, but it's holding in there.  Warning light on the dashboard screaming a passenger side airbag fault "ignition pill circuit resistance too high or too low"

I had originally seen the car for sale on Cargurus.  But when I called the dealer selling the car, they'd sold it the same day they got it.  Bummer...A few days later, I went to look at a Bosxter, which 'Im really not that keen on.  It was pretty ratty, but I was told "We have another Porsche" -- and lo and behold, it was the same car.  They were asking $1500 less than the dealer who had it prior... it had been wholesaled!

So, test drive, PPI, and take it home.  Repair the "now" things.

The best part was finding not only my previous owner, a local guy,  but the car's original owner as well, who's from Florida.  She was quite surprised to get an email from me, and happy that it was still on the road.  She traded it in for a C4, I think she said.

My previous owner still had a couple parts, which he had held onto.  We met one day, and I picked them up.

Anyways, greetings from Seattle.  Love the car.   It's a far cry from my '88 924S, and I can put more in it than my '85 911!

Now to repair that MAF that started screaming at me a couple days ago....
