Greetings from Port Hueneme, CA
#1

I bought a 1993 968 Cab from a friend 11 years ago. It may be the best car I've ever owned. Yes, repairs are expensive, but considering what you have for a car, it is worth it. Before I moved to Hueneme 9 years ago, I used to take it to a driver's education class held by the POC/PCA at "The Streets of Willow". I would always get a "What is that" from the sea of 911's around me. I got lucky the third time out and had an instructor that taught me how to steer with the throttle. And there I was with my $15,000 USD car up against a $100,000 C4S. I dusted it coming out of the last corner and passed it on the straight. The crowd went crazy. I haven't been to a DE since I moved, but I very much enjoy the car. I think it could be the best buy for a used Porsche out there, provided you can find someone to work on it. Run it up to 4,000 RPM, punch the throttle and hang on. Motorcycle-like acceleration. Just take care of that timing chain or it changes from a sports car to a huge paperweight. Anyone in the Ventura county California area that needs a good mechanic, get in touch with me and I'll get you the info.
