Greetings from Cincinnati
#1

John from Ohio checking in. Never owned a 968 before, been more of an aircooled 911 guy, but at this I am considering a 968. Thought this would be a good place to bounce some questions off the experienced professionals if I came across something that really caught my eye.

You'll love the right 968.

First it drives great. With its front engine, rear wheel drive, near 50/50 perfect weight ration it is more forgiving in turns than the 911. If you need more power that the 968 has check out powerhaus. For about $20K they will bore and sleeve, put the right pistons, gaskets and everything else for a great turbo charger that will ... well this is comming from some one who owns an american supercharged 390/390 car. But the 968 handles the curves better. I never thought I would ever own a "rag top", but the 968 I bought about 6 months ago is great. I can't wait until summer & the Rocky Mountain National Park road opens. Who knows maybe this summer highway 1 on the Pacific Coast with the top down.

Second I have never gotten under 18 mpg combined driving. It has been as high as 22+ mpg combined. I have not been on a trip yet so I don't know what highway mpg I get. And the tank holds more than 19 gallons.

Third -- It drives great. Yeah I know I said that first, but it does drive great.

Good Luck
