Name is Jim and I reside in Rockville, Maryland.
I recently acquired a 1992 968 Cabriolet.
The 968 will be the latest in a long line of 'toys' that I've owned, raced, and restored over the last 30-some years.
The majority of my 'toys' have been Porsches (356s, 911s, a 912, a Boxster 'S', a 914 autocross car, and a 944), with a few British offerings, just to 're-oil' my driveway (1958 'Bugeye' Sprite, 1959 Triumph TR-3A, MGB, and a Jaguar), and a nice 1968 Ferrari 330 GTC, to really challenge my mechanical skills. I do everything in restoring my 'toys', save for laying down a finish paint job. I do all of my own engine and transmission work, brake work, welding, fabrication, uphosltering, and electrical.
I also enjoy restoring vintage bicycles, I had a part-time business working in stained glass, and I'm just beginning to learn to play the guitar.
Looking forward to sharing the things I've learned over the many years I've been 'playing' with cars, and to exploring the potential of the 968. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/cool.png" class="smilie" alt="" />
