Top Gear coming to the Discovery Channel
#1

Snip from another board... This guy has a 996 GT3 RS... This is great news! I have only watched episodes via the web.

Top Gear Coming to Discovery Channel

It would appear that after many years Top Gear is coming to the good ol' us of a on the Discovery Channel.

The other 50 countries that take the programme have it as is, for some reason the US needs all the links re cut for an American audience!?!

So, that is how I came to be freezing my bollox off last Saturday whilst The tall bloke the short bloke and the one with the funny haircut re shot the links for the 3rd show in the series.

They needed all the cars that were on the video to be in the studio so they could talk about them, would looka bit strange just standing in front of the TG logo I suppose, and through a long a boring tale I was asked if I could bring my RS along for them to park next too the 360 CS.

As my son is considering a career in TV it seemed like a good idea and got me out of visiting some of my wifes friends, always a good option.

Surprised how small the studio is (and cold) but was treated very well and got to meet Mr Clarkson and co.

When you see the series you might notice a certain lack of "polish" compaired to episodes you might have seen previously. A normal episode of TG takes 3-4 hours to film, the US versions took 55 minutes so be prepaired!

Journoman Roundels were positioned so I look forward to hearing if they could be seen in the finished programme. Also if you see a weirdo in a Journoman long sleeve shirt, that was me!!

Infamy at last....

Keep smiling.

P.
