Looks like my gauge is stuck on full 4/4
2 Questions
1) Is this a common problem?
2) Is this an easy fix?
Thanks

Mine goes to full, but then goes fairly quickly down to 1/4, then slows down from there. I've never put more than 14 gallons in! That's 6 more gallons to go, but the needle was right above the orange zone.
Another 968 owner I know drives it till the gas light comes on, then fills up! I'm not that brave...
I've been watching the trip meter, when I get to about 325 I go and fill up.
What do you'all do?

Mine is not what I would call 100% accurate, but it seems pretty good. Never goes all the way full and does seem to bounce around a bit here and there which I am chaulking up to electrical problems in the IC as I also have the crazy temp guage problem. I'm hoping ground cleanup rectifies both.
I will drive until the light comes on (translation: "not afraid to") but not on purpose. I've never put more than 18 gal even when the light is on, so I guess I had about 1.5 gal left...

Supposedly we have a 2+ gal reserve when the light comes on.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions..I took her for a ride tonight and noticed the gauge was starting to move down. I hit the trip odomoter (while I was stopped) last tme I filled up and now have about 200 miles on the car, so looks like I have lots more fun before I need to refill. I will keep a close eye on it and maybe look for that red light before next fill up.
Thanks again, really appreciate it.
