I am going to remove the belts and test. What do you mean by "binding"? My English is not so advanced. My distributor mount has been replaced 4 months ago with the improved (and horribly expensive) aluminum mount.

There is no "improved aluminum" mount that I'm aware of? Please aware me.

The part number changed and the new mount looks like if it were aluminum. Looks much more robust than the previous cover. Not sure if it is an alloy.

Do you have the new part number?

"Binding" is the word used to describe a part that is supposed to move, but is completely or partially stopped from doing so by misalignment, either from poor initial fit (bad machining) or more likely from wear or dirt getting into the mechanism.

94410517909 is the new part number. The old magnesium part number is 94410517908.
