Found out my car is NOT Amazon Green...
#1

Well, it's close, but it's not exactly Amazon Green. A guy at the Porsche meeting last night pointed out how the paint on the front shock towers doesn't match the car exactly. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/sad.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

So for all of you that LOVED the color, well now you know why! It's got a little more blue than the original color!

Oh well, it's cool anyway! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/cool.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

What does your paint code on your option sticker read? The shock towers can get dull and appear to not match your exterior paint. Also you are looking at paint that is covered and rarely sees sun and deteriorating eliminates. The only way your car is not amazon green is if it were a paint to sample color. That would be noted on your option codes. Or your entire car was repainted and they did a poor job of matching the color.

The paint in my engine compartment does not exactly match the exterior. I'm not even sure it is clearcoated.

Your car is Amazon from the picture. There is not really another blue or greent hat comes close to this shimmery blue/green metallic.

Hmmm, maybe it was the lighting?

The sticker code is "Amazon Green - Pearl Effect"

I bet if you wash and wax the shock towers they will look closer. I know mine do.

Its a hard color too match...so if it was repainted then there is a good chance it would look a little more blue or a little more green depending on how it was mixed. Two of my friends have amazon green type color on their 3rd gen RX-7's and both were repainted and one looks more blue and one looks more green.
