Hi,
On my 968CS '93 the footwell ventilation stopped working. Although I have the electrical schematics for the A/C system, I do not know which valve controls the ventilation and where to find it.
I already took apart the A/C control panel and looked under the drivers side dash to find any loose connectors, burn spots, strange noises etc. I saw the controlpanel is quite expensive.
When the upper ventilation rheostat on the dash control is set, you can hear a little electro motor or servo run, but this is missing when the lower/footwell control is moved to either side.
It is probably this servo that is broken, but where can I find this thing?
Gtz,
Martijn

It is most likely a plastic linkage clip broken. There is a little box with a door that can be removed on the right side of the control center (under the dash) If you take this door off you will see the actuators that move the vent flaps via little rods or linkage. If you hear the motor that is good because the control unit is big bucks, but the little clips that hold the linkage to the arms are cheap and break with age. Easy fix, but you should order extra clips as the other are brittle as well.
I have done this a while back, so I am giving you info from memory and could be a bit rusty on a few points, but I bet this is your problem.
