You could also try Pargon or Pelican.

Ouch, yeah Pete, what about the next time one of ours goes bad. I wrote in the other post that mine was replaced in 2005. Guess it is time to think about alternatives. Wish I had kept my Lincoln Logs and Erector Set . No seriously, anybody have ideas on this part, is there one from 911s with Tips that could serve the purpose, with modifications perhaps?

well I found two.............$1056.00 is the best price I got. When I spoke to Sunset the parts guy Jeff? said he knew of one in Texas and that one was not for sale. I called anyway cause come to find out that was the dealership where my Cab was bought. Weird huh? The owner of the dealership is saving it for his wifes car. I did try Pelican they have always been helpful with parts for my other car. He said he had one for about $1200.00 bucks. If anyone else needs one call me .866-426-4148 I've done the leg work for you. I was thinking of milling some of these guys from an aluminum billit............any interest?

Thanks again for you support. I was a bit frazzled trying to figure a way out of this. I have fears that I've bought a money pit.

Well it looks like even the 6 speed has its issues. Like ring and pinion gear noise. Lose Lose I guess.

I just had mine done in the summer.

I'm told that the rubber deteriorates from ozone, etc., and will last longer if the car is driven more - just as tires deteriorate if they aren't driven.

Pics are attached (I hope...)

Another pic.

Clutch something like this? This was the clutch in my 944S when I bought it, it just spun and never engaged.

Looks like a little JB Weld on these babies would take care of the problem and we won't have to find new sources.

(OK fine ... I get it ... probably won't hold ... I'll confess, I have been known to use a bit of coat hanger here and there )

The flywheel can be seen towards the right in the '02 pic. The other is a close-up of the stop that engages the damper plate to allow the car to be driven (not too long) after the damper plate fails.
