I'm looking at purchasing a 968 and was wondering: Are these free floating motors? I found a nice 968 with a broken timebelt, but I don't want to purchase it if there's a possibility of cylinder head problems. Any advice would be a great help.

while this particular area of the site is not the place to ask questions like that, which it says right at the top, the answer to your question is "no"

this is definitely an interference engine - it the timing belt is broken, there is a very good chance that at least some of the valves are bent - you have to be VERY lucky to escape that

no worries

the Tutorial explains all about that, but basically there is a "training" period whereby you have to walk before you run

not all areas are immediately available - you gain more access with more participation
