Video of my 968 at Spa - Francorchamps
#1

Hello,

Please find some videos of my 968 on the Spa Francorchamps track (Belgium), during the Test Day of Marc Duez on 29 October 2007.

My setup:

968 CS with a full M030 retrofit (new Koni suspension with M030 springs, larger brakes, spindles, hubs)

ProMAX chips

Airbox mod

KLA suspension upgrade:

- Front Sway Bar Bracket Support

- Rear Sway Bar Drop Link Kit

- Strut brace

- Upper strut mount

Racer's Edge Delrin bushing

- Front sway bar, inner bushings

- Front sway bar end bushings

Tires: Michelin Pilot Sport (street tires)

Until now, it is still a standard 4-seats car, but I intend to put 2 Recaro Pole Position seats with harnesses and a roll cage, and to remove the rear seats.

First lap of the 5th session:

Very cool. One of my favorites for F1.

Is Eau Rouge really as scary as it looks?

Yes...

A view of Eau Rouge and Raidillon: impressive, isn'tit ?

A picture of my car just when passing over Eau Rouge, at this time I was riding at about 110 mph (180 km/h); the compression of the suspension is really huge.

A picture from inside a car (not mine) climbing the Raidillon; it is a blind curve...

Hum... The oil level sender doesn't work very well. I have already replaced it, but the new part fail after a few weeks. Anyway, I check the oil level manually with the gauge.

I need to wait to get home to watch these.

It's at Spa I got the car disease. I was 10 at the time and it was the old track. Back in the early 60's when the reason for seatbelts was to make you drive faster and not for safety. I got to see Icks, Steward, Paul Frere and probably Elford race among others. I tried to climb in some of the cars at the end of the day and they wouldn't let me.

Those videos just create envy, very nice. Nice driving, it always make me smile when the 968 passes more powerfull 911 etc..

How did you do those special effects? At times it almost seems there was sunshine.

You look like Michael Shumacher driving with a bunch of track day students. Sorry, can't give the 968 all the credit on this one.

Spa is one of my favorite tracks.

Thanks for the videos.

In the old days I believe the track was

approx. 8 miles, and passed through the

town of Spa.
