feliz cinco de mayo
#1

no, I'm not Mexican but love the people, love the cuisine, and any occasion where drinking margaritas or just tequila sipping is involved ( as if I needed an excuse .. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/rolleyes.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> ) is a genuine holiday in my book. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/cool.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

so...happy Cinco everyone !!

incidentally, quite a few players at my pick up soccer games are from Mexico, and I make a point of asking any new ones what it is they're celebrating on this day....to which the inevitable answer comes :

" we defeated the French ! " I do this just so I can reply : So ? Who hasn't ?! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

aw come on, just kidding. I'm sure none of our French 968ers are reading this post anyway, unless they're losing sleep trying to figure out who will be declared the country's next president tomorrow.
