I can tell you from experience that it really blows when you do that. Missed a corner and ended up 75 feet out in a river one time, talk about a rude awakening. When I made it back to shore the only thing you could see was the tail lights sticking up out of the water. Climbed up the bank and got run over by a car breaking my hip. Funny thing was laying under the car and hearing "Wasn't that Mark?" from one of the occupants of the vehicle. Thank god it was a '63 Falcon that ran over me since it had plenty of ground clearance.

The water in the headlights makes the picture. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/rolleyes.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I too am guilty of not knowing the limits of my vehicles numerous times. Never ended up in the water though.

Here's a tip. When in doubt brake HARD in a straight line. Porsche brakes are excellent and will save your a$$ when used properly. Whatever you do don't wait until you're in the middle of the corner to apply the brakes. That will result in an instant loss of control. IMHO that's what put this guy into the water.

It hurts to see this big time.

By the way with a 911 even lifting off the foot from the gas while cornering may result in heavy spinning. The 968 is much more forgiving. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/cool.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
