Exhaust Mod
#1

Hi To All....

i'm new to this board and this is my first post.

i've been developing a 94 968 into stock racer (nasa Super Cup/PCA F) since last season. i'm ready to attempt to improve engine breathing now.

i'm aware of the published air box mod but was thinking it may be better to direct additional air to the box via ducts coming from front bumper openings to avoid hot engine compartment air from possibly entering the intake.

as far as exhaust mods....have been told by some there may be no available worthwhile header. is there a recommended one? i assume cat by-pass somehow is recommended.....how about different aftermarket systems rather than stock unit.

i'd appreciate any experience, info, advice to this end.

thanking everyone in advance.

first - welcome!

second - very cool - love to see people racing these cars

third, read up here on this site - use the search engine - it is very effective - poke around and enjoy yourself - there are a few threads about these very things that are very helpful

on the airbox - don't worry about the engine heat - as long as you're moving the intake temp is ambient - we tested that - save the ducting work - besides, that is likely not going to pass rules

header - yes - rs barn has a header that works very well
