Excellence....
#1

I am just shocked at the number of ads these guys sold in the August issue. Over half the Magazine is ads and mostly full page ads at that. The sales guy must be kicking some rear... I don't think I have ever seen this many ads in excellence. It looks like they have 13 articles in the 192 page issue.

Speaking of Excellence, it looks like we will have Bob Kovacs as a speaker for one of our Tech Sessions, He will talk about things to do to maintain your 968 as Porsche designed it. I have not heard back from Powerwerks in NH. There phone number is not working and they have not responded to my E-Mails. Hope everyone is going to make the trip to Wash DC in June. BE THERE OR BE SQUARE.

Excellence is in a class by itself when compared to other car magazines. Sure there are lots of ads. But the feature layout, writing, and photography are first class. And they never mix a color feature story with advertising. The article about the guy who tracked down and restored his dad's 356 was fabulous!

Vanity Fair is a great magazine, but you have to turn to page 150 to start reading. I just turn the pages, no big deal.
