#1

Just passing on the word: Pelican thread. Basically someone in NorCal is looking to borrow a 968 coupe to use in Excellence magazine.

I'd do it in a flash if I was out there... sounds like a lot of fun!

Not much response so far. Think Pete is using the wrong bulletin board.

West coast gets all the cool media ops. I'd offer mine up in a heart beat if it were close by.

I'll send him an email as well. Would not mind them using the car, although I think he would prefer unmodified 968s.. he did say slight mods are ok ( chip, etc )

but I have the air box drilled, a BB catback, so not sure if that passes his criteria.

I just swapped e-mails with Pete Stout of Excellence and he thinks he has a candidate for the 968. He didn't say who the owner was... wonder if it is Chris Vais (above)?? However, if this candidate falls through, he'll need a backup participant or two so feel free to contact him if you're interested in participating.

Wow, your 968 coupe featured in Excellence - what an opportunity! Wouldn't it be great if the 968 beat the other two cars! Too dang bad I live on the other side of the nation and have a garage queen, to boot. But, if Pete Stout were doing on the East Coast, I would seriously consider handing her (my 968) over.

Cannot wait until this issue comes out! Best of luck to which ever 968 owner is chosen!

I haven't heard anything, though you'd think there would be some sort of acknowledgement / " thank you for your interest, but we chose ... " to all the

other submittals.. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/huh.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I've not heard anything back. I agree, it would be nice to get some acknowledgement for offering, even if you weren't selected.
