Europe Invaded
#1

Should Europe allow itself to be invaded by the Middle East? Should European countries be forced to feed, cloth, shelter and provide jobs to this horde from the Middle East? Who pays for all these people? Will this continuing mass influx of homeless people destabilize European countries? Does anyone believe that there is no hidden power, ISIS or other terrorist organization, allowing and profiting from this exodus?

Why do the current crop of European leaders dither and wring their hands while this invasion continues?

Hmm, you'd think the refugees would be welcomed with open arms much closer to home and by wealthy countries with similar religion , culture , etc. So why is it that Dubai, Qatar , UAE, Saudi Arabia, have not open their borders to welcome the Syrian masses ?

U.S. has just accepted to adopt 10,000 refugees . So Mexican refugees who " illegally " cross our borders to seek a better life are targeted , but middle eastern refugees seeking a better life are ...different ?!

I don't believe that Isis or anyone else is profiting from this exodus. Escaping costs money, if you believe the stories the refugees tell, 1000's of Euros.   The people who can afford to pay the "fare" are well educated, intelligent, motivated people. This, I understand, is one of the reasons that the Germans, with a declining birth rate and aging population are willing to welcome an educated immigrant influx to keep their economy rolling. Isis and their ilk do not want an educated population who are much less like to welcome a return to the 7th century.

It seems to me that a few well planned drone strikes could solve the problem in Syria. Take Assad and let the population of Syria set up their own government. brandThat said as long as the Islamic world is more dedicated to promoting their particular brand of Islam rather than building a unified government.

From my point of view there's nothing wrong with helping refugees, not even a lot of refugees. The problem is that a whole bunch of them will stay and eventually will become voting citizens. What's wrong with that will you ask, when they are middle class and intelligent people, willing to work?

Well, first of all they do not separate religion from state affairs like we do over here. That will create issues because already Islamic and Orthodox Jews are frequently trying to bend the laws of our secular way of life.

Secondly - and in the case of my country - many of them will adopt the French language and will be living in Brussels. This could mean and even further 'invasion' of francophones across the language barrier in Flanders.

And thirdly, what the about the millions of native Europeans living in poverty? The ones who have fallen of the grid and receive no or very little social welfare? Are the politicians going to help them too?

In response to the mass of Syrians invading the European and other shores, various countries are taking ant-terrorist precautionary measures :

The British

are feeling the pinch in relation to recent terrorist threats in Islamabad and have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Brits have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when Custard Cream supplies all but ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to "A Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada.
The Scots have raised their threat level from "Pissed Off" to "Let's get the Bastards." They don't have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years.
The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide". The only two higher levels in France are "Surrender" and "Collaborate". The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France's white flag factory, effectively paralysing the country's military capability.
The Germans also increased their alert state from "Disdainful Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs." They also have two higher levels: "Invade a Neighbour" and "Lose".
Belgium does not have a government, so is incapable of having any warning level. All on holiday as usual; the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels.
The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the modern Spanish fleet can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy.
Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout loudly and excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing". Two more levels remain: "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides".
Americans meanwhile are carrying out pre-emptive strikes on all of their allies, just in case.

Meanwhile in the southern hemisphere...

New Zealand has also raised its security levels - from "baaa" to "BAAAA!" Due to continuing defense cutbacks (the air force being a squadron of spotty teenagers flying paper aeroplanes and the navy some toy boats in the Prime Minister's bath), New Zealand only has one more level of escalation, which is " Shut, I hope Aehstrilia will come end riscue us". In the event of invasion, New Zealanders will be asked to gather together in a strategic defensive position, called Bondi.  It might be worth noting that New Zealand would be unable to raise an army as its soldiers are all currently deployed playing orcs in the upcoming Hobbit movie.
Australia, meanwhile, has raised its security level from "No worries" to "She'll be right, mate". Three more escalation levels remain: "Crikey!", "I think we'll need to cancel the barbie this weekend" and "The barbie is cancelled." It should be noted that there has not been a situation yet that has warranted the use of the final escalation level.

Can countries that are economically poor performers digest this influx of people? Can they financially afford this influx? Will their own citizens who need help become resentful when scarce resources are directed to these non citizens? Has anyone read answers to any of these questions from these European leaders?

No answers to those questions at all, its going to start another war!!!

in the UK we are building houses on every bit of land that pops up, for refugees but our young can get to buy a house for love nor money.

they arrive here from anywhere in the EU no way to check the background or financial status, the banks give them a mortgage straight off, our kids need to save up about 30-40K British pounds as a deposit then they have their background checked, finances, families and work status, then if you are real lucky you might get to buy a house

Munich already 'received' about 60000 refugees. Hopefully they understand that people over here have to work hard to maintain their prosperity and that the streets aren't made of gold.

RAP what I meant to say is that I don't think the, the Islamists are making money smuggling. I'm sure are plenty of opportunists who are doing the smuggling. For whatever reason the refugees believe there are opportunities for them in the EuroZone. Whether there actually are or not remains to be seen I guess.

It seems implausible to me that with the large number of people exiting the Middle East, that only smugglers have control of this. I could be wrong of course!

ISIS has already said that they will be adding their fighters to the stream of migrants, does anyone doubt they are telling the truth?

Listening g to the candidates on the debate last night I was struck by a seeming unwillingness on the candidates part to visualize illegal immigration as a security problem. Europe and the U.S. are being flooded with illegals. Does anyone doubt there is a coordinated strategy to insert terrorists through this flow?

There is always a possibility terrorists may already be " inserted " among the refugees , but I'd be willing to bet there is a greater and high probability ISIS and other terrorist organizations will see them as perfect candidates who can be easily influenced / brainwashed as soon as many among them will become disenchanted with their lives in the west, or their expectations regarding how their lives and hopes unfold and may soon fade in the new countries ..

That's a very good point. Sleeper cells don't grow through disenchantment though. They are inserted and then activated!

True, I wasn't talking about sleeper cells though, I was referring to the proverbial low hanging fruit ripe for picking , which very much ties to individuals who feel they may be discriminated, oppressed, not able to succeed,.and hey, if they're religious even easier to leverage that aspect of their psyche to revolt against the infidels ..
