Between Wednesday evening and Sunday afternoon, I drove a little over 800 miles, averaged nearly 27mpg, and - like you - no sore butt, just some nice sunburn. Great cars!

nah - you can do it - you have to be pretty careful and stay around 75 - here's one for you - one of the books i have on this car says that at a steady flat 56 mph (are you ready for this?) 39.2mpg!!! - just for giggles i tested it for about 50 miles (i was really bored after that, and had to speed up or fall asleep and wreck the car) - i got 36! boy was i shocked

Oh I'm sorry! I read your post wrong. I thought you said 27 MPH! Too much wine I guess. Sorry. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wacko.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

And I read your post, Larry, and checked back to see if I had a typo.

Flash, you're right on in terms of speed. I was generally cruising at 75mph for extended periods; rarely went over 80 - just not in the mood to meet another state trooper, I'm still dealing with the results of the encounter I had on my way to Watkins Glen for my most recent DE.
