Dream come true...
#1

Later this month I will be taking some lessons and doing laps on the Nurburgring!

This has always been a dream of mine, and I can't wait. I've read every site on the net, and watched every video. You will probabaly think its a bit lame, but I've been "practicing" on Forza Motorsport (video game), really just trying to learn the turns.

I'm renting an Alfa Romeo 75 for my first time out, and doing a half day lesson. I'll be driving over from Frankfurt.

Anyone have some advice for me? Also, what do you think about ring sticker etiquette...stickers only go on cars that have been there, or can stickers go on cars driven by people who've done the track?

I will try my best, but it's illegal to take pics/vids on the track now

Not lame at all. My son and I lapped on Forza many times and I could never get around the damned thing in anything better than a Camry.

Sounds like a great experience. HOw many laps do you get?

too much work to change the colors on photos and then post a "green with envy" picture of myself , so I'll just convey it : I can only imagine and drool at the thought of how much fun that'll be !

ENJOY every moment !!!!

Unlimited during the two hours, not sure how many I'll get in.....I guess it depends on how slow I am

Ha yeah, not looking to set any crazy lap times on this trip, but judging by the low HP and tentative driver <15 minutes sounds about right

I'm jealous! There is a local racer that did the 24 hour race there and he practiced on the computer. There are so many corners it gives you a chance at knowing where the track is going around the next bend. I imagine it takes a looong time to master that track.

Well, we're still not even because I'm jealous of all the racing you do

I'm hoping the lessons will teach me a lot. They include having a car in front of you in the beginning to help learn the track (instructor in that car telling you when/where to brake etc over the radio)
