Ok, so this morning I started up the 968 after it sat for a week or so due to bad weather and took it for a quick jaunt to the office, about 4 miles. When I took it out for lunch I made it to the restaurant but when I came out it would not turn over. It had very little juice left in it.
Called a buddy, came and jumped me. Drove it around for a while and let it run for half hour to charge it, theoretically. Later upon leaving work it was dead again... hrmph!
Jumped again no problem and took it home, let it sit for another half hour and lo and behold it was dead again.
I am assuming its a dead battery, but wanted other opinions before I took that guess. The batter is 3 years old, but this the fourth battery already (history of dying batteries per service records).
Is this common, could I have a drain anywhere? I did install the keyless entry, but it has worked fine for months.

Most likely a bad batt, with a multi-meter check the voltage after a charge (should be 12/13 volts) the watch the meter when you try to start the car (should only drop to around 11/11.5) any less and its junk. I just had the same thing happen to me and when I tried to start, it droped to about 6volts, and this was with out warning.
"Started fiine at work drove home (40miles) dead the next morning (left the key on?), jumped it drove to work (dead), got new batt (fine ever since).

Alright, tried a few things.
First off, I checked the battery cells and topped them all off w/distilled water. They were in fact pretty low. So, after that I jumped the car and let it run for about 30 minutes at idle.... hoping to charge the battery.
Bzzt, wrong. Now the car will not turn over no matter what I do. I have tried jumping it again and it wont take as the battery appears completely dead. I currently have a battery charger on it, but its not helping it seems.
So, before I order a battery, any other ideas?

before you replace the batt, get it running again (jump) and with a multimeter at the batt terminals; verify you have 13-14volts from the alt (if not get that retested at a shop with a good charging system tester. If all is good then replace the batt.
