I had a Renault Appliance...when, at 51k the entire drive train failed it was the happiest day in my life.

I rebuilt/replace every major component on that POS and then it locked up...good riddance.

Bought my first Rx-7 and never looked back.

The Merkur was sold in Europe as the Ford Sierra. The "hot" versions were the Ford Sierra RS Cosworths (the RS500 in race trim made north of 500 bhp).

On the other side of the pond, that car is remembered quite fondly...

Somehow, that must have been #11 and should have topped the list.

OMG the Aztek was ugly! I think I read that the same stylist that did the corvette, did the Aztec. Go figure.

At least it wasn't Bill Mitchell, Zora Duntov or Larry Shinoda's fault.

My Cosworth Vega burned oil like a diesel at less than 30,000 miles. Seems that GM had a bit of a metallurgy problem in those four cylinders.

what, no AMC Pacer or Ford Pinto ?! Surely, at least two of the cars on this list had to have been preferable to the

"bubble from outer space" and " what were they thinking mobile "

a business associate in London had an RS Cosworth - took a ride to Canterbury one weekend - car was wicked-fast !

Had a '72 Vega, it was horrible! I drove it as a college freshman in '79 and it did not last the semister....

As to the Aztec (or as me and my boys call it an Ass-wi-pe....from an old very funny SLN bit with Nick Cage), me and my boys play a game to spot the coolest cars. You get points added for cool cars and points deducted for Ass-wi-pe's. Spotting one usually elicits a yell like "don't look....oh my eyes....stop....stop....I can't take it....ETC". My wife usually says...."OMG...what is wrong!?!? Oh....you spotted another one of those......quit yelling!"

And so it goes.......
