The OEM High Pressure Clutch Line is prone to failure from age. They are only rated for 5 years. They fail from the inside and you can't see it degrading. The only sign you may see is the dreaded "EGG" where the rubber meets the hardline, but it doesn't always happen. What does happen is the sudden "bang" and the pedal goes to the floor and stays there.
