Dead Battery
#1

It happened again. Dead battery. New battery too. The source? My remote for the trunk lid is being activated accidentally and the trunk light burns for days on end...until? dead battery again! The slightly opened trunk is easy to miss just walking by the car in the garage. If you have installed a remote trunk release, keep an eye on the lid.

My BULLDOG trunk release, with 968 engineering's relay, turns on the interior dome light.

It is hard to miss when I leave the garage to go into the house.

Does your int light go on as well?

i had a problem for a while with a wire getting crimped under the floorboard - it would trigger the trunk - a little re-orientation of the wire and all is good

Dome light logic:

With switch on the left side...bottom = normal.

Might save you a lousy morning.
