Cracked Wheel
#1

Hi all,

I had one of my wheels crack a few years ago and you guys recommended somewhere I could ship it and get it fixed. But I can't find my records on that. Any suggestions, cause I need their services again...

Thanks!

There is probably a shop in the Phoenix area that offers this service. (I found one in Albuquerque, NM) The local shop charged $85 to repair one of my wheels and $95 for another one and there was no shipping charges involved. If you want to ship it off somewhere try Weidmans Wheels at: (530)534-7903. They are in Oroville, CA 95966. If you want to use the shop I use in Albuquerque, contact Matthew at: (505) 836-5949 His address is: 210 Old Coors Blvd, SW Albuquerque, NM 87121. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

Thanks Bob. Any suggestions on what type of shop I would call for this kind of work? I'd like to keep it local, but don't even know what type of place to call for this.

Thanks!

I asked around at the collision repair shops, wheel alignment shops and specialty welding shops. The one I found is listed under Welding Shops in the yellow pages. Matthew Garcia used to work as a welder out at Sandia National Laboritories and according to him "can weld anything - even dirt". His work has been excellent on my wheels. Bob Blackwell.

Nobody locally wants to do wheels it seems for insurance reasons, so I'm shipping it out to your guy Bob.

Thanks!
