Alrighty, apparently our autozones and pepboys do not rent out Pressure testers. So i am going to invest in one. I believe that the "Stant 12270 Pressure Tester" would be the best one. Do i have to buy an adapter kit to go with it? Do i have to lock the engine at TDC #1 when i perform the leak down? I would assume no.. just making sure. Thanks guys. Oh.. and i arrived home safely.
Haha, to add to my miserable story, I was driving back home with the car on the U-Haul car transport when the surburban loss power. I was about 160 miles from home and it felt like i ran out of gas. The light wasn't on.. and the computer section started flashing check engine soon. i had about 1/8 tank gas left, so i choked the surburban into the gas station ( thank god it was a chevron). Filled the car up and it worked fine after that. My dad informed me that he was using cheap gas the whole way up to oklahoma. Now he's going to bring it to the dealer to see what's wrong with it. Damn fuel filter... i know it. Morale of the story.. don't buy cheap gas in texas... cause it sucks.
EDIT:
HAHAHAHAHHHAHAH!?!?!?! So my parents are like.. we need to get you something for christmas... and it's either clothes or...... bring the car to Greff.. ( a local porsche workshop) and have your car fixed regardless of what's wrong.. i just grinned and said ok.... i still want to buy the pressure tester though.
I hope it's not the headgasket ... Am i a bad person for saying ok.. and just bringing the car to a shop? I love working on my P-cars, but i guess after all of this stress from the trip to purchase the car it would be nice to just get in and drive.
