Calling all paint and auto detail experts for an opinion on this ; for very small
touch-up spots ( we’re talking about a max. 1/4” diameter paint which was chipped off by flying debris ) which needs some matching color touch up paint .- when it’s time to add the clear coat on top of the paint - I’m reading that clear nail polish is as good as, and as durable longevity-wise as the “real” clear coat , if not even better .. Not that I’m a cheapskate but a tiny tube of clear coat is about $ 25 , whereas four times that amount of nail polish is about $ 3.00 … and my wife can use the rest of it ..
Any thoughts on whether or not nail polish is really as good as clear coat for this kind of application ?
