I did the Airbox mod a year ago, and now only got the stage 1 chip delivered and installed. Cool sound, cool ride... Thanks Pete.

Yes, the chip really wakes the car up. Enjoy!

Good choice. The smooth power increase just feels right. Had mine done earlier this year and cant imagine how I was happy w/o it. The car is just so sluggish w/o it.
Wonder if any members haven't yet done the chip swap?
I love my 968 for what it is & don't hate it for what it isn't!

Heres the problem with the stage 1 chip and air box mod - after a little while, you want more, another fix. I did mine about 3 yrs ago, then had Pete do some suspension tuning. The combination transformed the car. I'm now seriously thinking of making another trip down to see Pete to upgrade to Stage 2 and header. Has anyone gone this route or provide comment on the stage 2 package.
Thanks
Paul

I have the Promax in the 944 S2 and also love it so it was just a matter of time before the 968 got a chip too.
With the RS chip, I was a bit worried about running lean at high altitude (5750 ft), but based on some posts here I feel a bit better, but still a bit concerned.
In December I might take a road trip though the mountains to the coast.. can't wait to get this car breathing with full lungs.

To PCB : I added the RSB stage 2 chip with header and high flow some years ago, the muffler is still OEM. The improvement was very clear, smoothness, torque, HP.
And yes, then I changed the sway-bars to M030 with Delrin bushings, new castor blocks Elephant Racing, then KV-V3 suspention went in, strut bars upper and lower.
It's a hobby, I suppose.

Apparently Rudolph and I have the same mods except the delrin bushings. I am back on the stock exhaust, after going through a few other exhaust systems I decided I liked quiet.

I wanted to know the same thing. I think one of us should start a poll... OK, you twisted my arm I'll do it.

Did you loose a step on acceleration and put on a few lbs by that choice?

Just an observation. Since I put the chip in, the little kick at around 4000RPM has almost disappeared.
I assume this is because the power differential before the 4000RPM and at 4000RPM has been reduced minimising the jump in power.
Yes, No ?
