Chipped and Loving it...
#1

I did the Airbox mod a year ago, and now only got the stage 1 chip delivered and installed. Cool sound, cool ride... Thanks Pete.

Awesome. Great choice on the RSB Chip, Pete's chip is the best in the business.

yeah - the more data that comes in, the more this becomes obvious

lol - of course, now i'm stuck with a number of chips i can't do much with, since we have proven they are inferior - sooner or later i'll have a fire sale on them - i'll just have to make all sorts of disclaimers like "lean running if you do this or that"

Good choice. The smooth power increase just feels right. Had mine done earlier this year and cant imagine how I was happy w/o it. The car is just so sluggish w/o it.

Wonder if any members haven't yet done the chip swap?

i'd have to guess that quite a few are still stock - we have almost 1500 members, most of whom are owners, and i don't think there are that many chips out there

i'd guess one in four have a chip (maybe 1 in 3)

Both of mine are bone stock...as soon as I sort out the Coupe, it will get some goodies!

Heres the problem with the stage 1 chip and air box mod - after a little while, you want more, another fix. I did mine about 3 yrs ago, then had Pete do some suspension tuning. The combination transformed the car. I'm now seriously thinking of making another trip down to see Pete to upgrade to Stage 2 and header. Has anyone gone this route or provide comment on the stage 2 package.
Thanks

I have the Promax in the 944 S2 and also love it so it was just a matter of time before the 968 got a chip too.

With the RS chip, I was a bit worried about running lean at high altitude (5750 ft), but based on some posts here I feel a bit better, but still a bit concerned.

In December I might take a road trip though the mountains to the coast.. can't wait to get this car breathing with full lungs.

To PCB : I added the RSB stage 2 chip with header and high flow some years ago, the muffler is still OEM. The improvement was very clear, smoothness, torque, HP.
And yes, then I changed the sway-bars to M030 with Delrin bushings, new castor blocks Elephant Racing, then KV-V3 suspention went in, strut bars upper and lower.

It's a hobby, I suppose.

LOL

Apparently Rudolph and I have the same mods except the delrin bushings. I am back on the stock exhaust, after going through a few other exhaust systems I decided I liked quiet.

I wanted to know the same thing. I think one of us should start a poll... OK, you twisted my arm I'll do it.

Just an observation. Since I put the chip in, the little kick at around 4000RPM has almost disappeared.

I assume this is because the power differential before the 4000RPM and at 4000RPM has been reduced minimising the jump in power.

Yes, No ?
