wheel fitment: ?turbo twist 18x10in ET 42

I currently run a cup 2 replica 18x10in ET 47mm on the rear with 285x30 Hoosier R6s.

Do you think a turbo twist 18x10 ET42 would clear, has anyone run this?

i doubt it - i'm not even sure you you got the 47 to clear the outside without hitting - you must have a massive amount of negative camber and be toed in - i have 52 offset on my 18x10, and with the 285-30 i have on there, i hit if i have too little camber - maybe the hoosiers are narrow for their size?

I have a set of 18x 10 ET 40 with 285s (Mich cup). Very tight and I have had the inner flange of the arch modified. But works!

lol - yeah, and with some insane amount of negative camber too, i'll bet - it helps having the michelins too - they are quite a bit narrower than other tires in the same size - i was actually pretty shocked when i saw the michelin up side to side with the bridgestone in the same size - 20mm difference - that just isn't right - they should be the same size



that is why you have to test fit these things, on the car, on the ground, with the suspension under full load and full travel

Was that a Mich Cup R tire or a street tyre.



Camber should be about 3 degrees and you would think the car too low, although higer than before!

well, definitely the street tires, but based on those specs, i'd say the R compounds too



let me put it this way, i had my wheels built for my car, specifically to push them to the outside as much as possible, which involved a fitting session at the factory, and all based on the rear being an 18x10, using a bridgestone S0-3 in a 285-35-18, 1.6 degrees negative camber, and a wheel arch height of 630mm (that was too low, so i have since raised it go regain some of the cornering) - they determined the most offset i could run, which was 52mm - with those settings, there was only 2mm clearance to the outer edge of the quarterpanel



do the math from there - you gain a couple of millimeters in camber, a couple from the quarterpanel modification, but the rest must be the tire
