But it is a fast truck that handles pretty well and can tow your track car without breaking a sweat.
Just don't get a flat as I'm not sure they come with a spare tire. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

We have a "lowly" Cayenne S, and even it is very quick. In addition, he handling is unbelievable for a truck. I have pushed it hard, and it's amazing. At Parade a couple of years ago, I watched a couple of experienced autocrossers do some runs in a couple of Cayenne Ss, and laid down times that were in the same neighborhood as a very competitive 968 class. I may have to try it out on the track and autocross myself.

I loved my Cayenne S, I plan on getting a Turbo as soon as my Lease is up on the Denali. You get a spare if you have a non Bose equiped car. Porsche uses the Spare tire cubby for the Bose Sub. The Cayenne may be a truck but it handles very well!

I have the Cayenne S also and it is a very impressive vehicle truck or not. [Although I'm sure I have the Bose and the spare tire too]. I have been to the Porsche Driving Experience and been in the Cayenne on the track. Did a ride along in the Cayenne Turbo with a professional driver and he was 3-5 seconds slower than another pro in a regular 911. That was with 4 people in the Cayenne. I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a 911. Come home sold the 911 and the Jeep and bought a Cayenne [need a dog truck]. For the driving I do the Cayenne serves every purpose, and I smile alot.

My concern is that with increased speed, you would be able to easily flip over, is that true?
I have never been in one, but have always loved the interior and the Cayenne itself just keeps growing on me! I sure wish Porsche would have come out with a front engine sports car BEFORE the Cayenne, but I guess they felt they had to and it sure is generating them a lot of money!

I just read in car and driver that the fastest suv is now the Jeep SRT8. And I guess somebody just turbocharged it for 600+ hp. Anybody driven one?
badge not so good, but I must admit it looks a lot better than a Pepper. . .

A friend loaned me his Cayenne Turbo. I had five people in the thing and we lead a 8 hour tour through the Texas Hill Country. We did the same roads I normally cruised and that thing was amazing! It wasn't a great in the turns as my 968, but it was damn close.
If I had the money I'd buy one of these 'trucks' in a heart-beat!
