Hi all,
I'm gearing up to replace my caster blocks and want to replace the bolts as well, as the heads are looking a bit chewed up. Neither the 968 factory manual or the parts catalogue give a class/grade for the bolts that I can see, but the 944 manual shows the "Control arm to body" bolt material as "8.8", which I suppose is saying it's a class 8.8 bolt. Is this correct? Seems like it must be, but I wouldn't like to get it wrong and have them let go!
Thanks,
Michael

For something like that I would just go with the originals from Porsche, they are only like $2 a piece, they have a different size shoulder on them from what I recall.

Banditsc, I tried Porsche when I ordered the caster blocks from them, the bolts were shown as NLA <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/sad.png" class="smilie" alt="" />
Flash, thanks anyway! You'll be pleased to hear that my torque wrenches are some of my best friends when it comes to cars

Sounds like my best bet is to keep what she's got if they're non-standard bolts - hopefully the threads are still ok, no reason to suspect otherwise I suppose

I see that now, the replacement for that would be 90007424803 and it's actually a bit cheaper.
