Happily, this shows something that was not expected from the title of this thread. Hopefully this was a warranty repair.

Yeah, I saw that. No need to create something new if you have something on the shelf that works, I guess...

It doesn't appear that the Carrera GT exactly took the supercar world by storm. While I'm sure it was an off-the-charts incredible car, I never cared for its styling. I saw one at a Porsche dealer in northern California once, and didn't find it to look better in real life than it does in pictures. Kind of looks like an oversized Toyota Spyder, imho. They're not making them anymore, right?

I thought this was an interesting tidbit...

Did a search on Cars.com for 968s and Carrera GTs

18 968s

19 Carrera GTs

I conclude that Carrera GTs are common, therefore...

My 968 is for sale for $425,000. Serious inquiries only <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/rolleyes.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Not with the kind of mileage you have on yours.. If you're lucky you might get $ 350,000. Be realistic, man !! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
