Two years and counting
#1

Two years ago today I was laying in a hospital bed with tubes coming out of every orifice and them some.
I currently still cannot walk well without a cane and have been unemployed /nearly unemployable since then.
However today I'm doing my absolute best to stay positive.
I want to thank everyone here who supported me through that very rough first year.

I remember it well. Personally I'd like to erase those images from my memory but I guess I'll have to wait for Alzheimer's to do that for me.

What matters is that you survived the wreck. How you survived it alive escapes me but apparently it was not your time to punch out.

And remember this always:

Dream like you'll live forever... Live like you'll die today.

Prayers and best wishes for continued healing. There has to be another 968 in your future!!! Right?!!

Three years and counting now.
I am doing SOOOOO much better now.
I rarely use my cane, and can walk (carefully) with out much assistance.
Currently, I am walking around 1 mile a day.
Social Security, after 2 years, has finally declared me disabled and now cover my healthcare.
The pain level is still high, and I havn't quite figured out why.
The doc's believe my hip is out of alignment and another surgury could be on the horizon.
Frankly, if it works, I need to get it.
My first doc, who has been with me since the beginning, took me of pain meds in May.
This SUCKED!
I still hurt a lot.
At any rate, I am going to use the opportunity that is presenting itself to attend the near by community college.
Wish me luck. (and a new 968)
