Can you add weight to the shifter?
#21

It was aluminium in the beginning until someone in the lower 48 got a hold of it Don't get me started on the "New" Oxford Dictionary!

DS - I hope I live long enough to see the time capsule you call a shift knob opened by some future engineer, I can hear the WTF from here.

I love my 968 for what it is & don't hate it for what it isn't!

Happy for now but I think there's enough heat in there to eventually wear out those materials so I'll need to replace them at some point - although it would seem using the same combo should work, there's no guarantee of that happening ; given how many times I tried this without success I think as those strips and stuff move around while you're shoving that knob on, with some getting pushed out of the way, others shifting ( no pun intended ) in one direction or another, luck plays a pretty big role on how they eventually end up fitting in there ; one small spot with insufficient cushioning and the contact is enough to get that buzz going... :-(

I've heard of the problem, but can't picture what you're talking about,... anyone got a picture?
