Cab top stitching color
#1

My 92 Black top cabs have all had white stitching. Has anyone seen any differences from the white on other color tops or years?

Thanks

it isn't really white stitching. all black and blue tops had black stitching. it just bleached out.

you can verify this for yourself by peeling back the flap at the corner of the window and seeing the stitching that hasn't been in the sun.

My top was garage kept and never really in the sun. (8 years, 4,000 miles) The sticking was white. Jeff even commented on this at Parade.

so was mine. peel back the tab and expose the stitches that are hidden there. they will be black. pretty much shocked me too. i thought at least they would be blue. my upholsterer pointed it out to me, or i would have assumed they were white.

my top was original. i cannot speak to what aftermarket tops have, though GAHH and Robbins are black.

No kidding. I can't really find a tab to check. I got a new top for the future and when I opened the box I saw the stitching was black. I thought I got the wrong one. Thanks!

Right! What's a good price for a top install when you supply the top?

assuming you can find somebody to install a top they don't provide, which is pretty hard to do, $500 is a decent price for the install

but don't cheap out on the top by buying those ones you see on ebay for $350. they don't fit right, and the pattern is different
