cab top rattle
#21

Thanks for posting. I have the same problem, and therefore the same problem (flattening on the ends, small leakage at A-Pillars when sitting. Going to try and get into this either today or tomorrow.

Attacked this issue this afternoon. Took off the plastic valence, removed the A pillar covers and crossbeam cover and adjusted the locking braces. The roof wasn't entering the holes right on, so I nudged them over. Found out that one reason I have a rattle is that the roof is apparently not squared. The left latch wasn't completely catching the locking brace. I had to add a couple washers behind the brace to get it out to the point that the latch would catch it right on. Re-assembled everything and then cleaned the area where I was going to adhere the new weatherstripping. Added the strip and took it for a test drive.... didn't notice any rattle, but can't attest to the rain-proofed-ness of the fix yet. But it's been raining about every other day here. I'll get a chance soon enough.

Thanks for the aide, tama!

It looks like a roll of that foam beading would work for about 8 cars. Could be a good group buy.
