Cab top ground
#1

So I had a chance to take the top down since winter began. It went down OK, but had a bit of a thud when the top got to the bottom. No worries.

Now I try to put it back up, click and nothing. I can hear the click of the connection, but no whir whir from the motor. I have a brand new motor, so I'm hoping it didn't burn out already. I check the fuse, all good.

So I'm in the process of unlocking the top so I can put it up manually, when I see a little black wire that has been wretched from it's other end, that is firmly bolted to the frame of the top. I tried holding a proper ground, but it didn't work. I have yet to repair it but...

Is this a ground for the soft top motor?

Hmm...
