Cab Rear 'Back Seat' Cubbies
#1

Small little thing, but can get annoying, especially when you are sensitive to all the little noises that all sound like "Cha-CHING!" your car can make...

My cubbies have the turn dial thingy that you use to unhasp the doors, but neither has anything to hasp themselves to. So, when ever I brake hard, "THUNK" on my or the passenger seat.

Like I said, minor detail... but we all want our babies on mint condish, right?

So, any ideas? Suppliers? $.50 fixes?

Thanks guys!

The locks need to be indexed.

Open them up and look at the tab from the lock.

Rotate till it matches the cutout on the cubbie and re tighten the locking nut.

What he said...my passenger side did the same thing. Loosen the nut on the back, rotate until it is aligned properly and tighten the nut...save your $.50 for more important stuff.

I had to get mine rekeyed as the PO lost the key. Anway I was driving around for a few weeks with just the hole. Piece of scotch tape worked great <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I believe that the catches can be purchased separately, but the locks are only sold in pairs (like if the PO loses the key.) About $100 in 2005.

I had the same problem, The latch was in the right position, but the door had slid down a half inch and the lock wouldn't catch. check the little screw(s) at the base of the hatch and you can adjust the hatch hight. that was my easy fix

Yeah, Flash - the actual catches are missing. I was assuming Porsche didn't skimp on two small pieces of plastic....

Thanks everyone!
