Bought a taildragger
#1

Well, when I bought my latest 968 I really wanted a 911 turbo, but realities at the time didn't allow it. Fast forward a bit over a year, and I found the one I just had to have.

It's pretty raw for a turbo, but I like it that way. Feels heavier in all respects vs the 968, but accelerates with serious vehemence. Good fun... 550+ horsepower, what's not to like?

Thanks. I dig the speed yellow. It was between it and an adriatic blue car in Cali. I'm going to have the spoiler painted back to yellow like in the pic...

Nice. What are those oval chrome thingies on the headlights?

The yellow wing will make it look nice and clean but the black wing is more intimidating. Works well with the rims. So instead of painting the wing yellow, paint the splitter in the front black.

I believe those are headlight washers <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

You and me think the same man.

I definatly want a Turbo next, I kinda want to start with a 80's 930 but man they are expensive.

Have tons of fun with it. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Just be careful, don't be like this guy

OUCH!

Not sure the turbo had anything to do with it though. Accelerating w/ one side of the car off the pavement doesn't bode well. Man did that thing snap back quick.

I'm really jealous, I have to admit I was expecting a Super Cub, Husky, or Maule.

Congrats and be careful.

Man, Ive though about getting a 911 turbo. Ive opted for building a 968, that will blow it away. Beautiful car, Id go back to all yellow too, BTW. Not diggin the black spoiler. I like the paint to have continuity, and be uniform. Just MO. Whats it weigh in at?

Thanks for the video. I've been driving on the track off and on since 1994, so am pretty sure I won't do anything too stupid. It is a handful under full boost. The splitter is already black as are the side skirts. I will leave them as they go great with the wheels. I like the black spoiler, but think it would be much better in yellow.

I figured some folks would think it was an aircraft, but I haven't actually flown anything since 06. Of course I haven't flown anything smaller than this... in a very long time.

I haven't had the car on a scale, but I can tell you it isn't light. I'm thinking around 3500 lbs.

I can't imagine my 968 having the acceleration of this car and the tractability. I know it's possible, but the torque and power are amazing.
