Welcome,

With a more English speaking audience here, it would be helpful if you used a translator, if you found a French to American, that would also be helpful since many or our American members can barely speak English.  Smile

Enjoy the site.

Regards,

Jay

"Targa" means a coupe with a sunroof...don't be daft...we embrace diversity here at 968Forums.com

I must say I've never heard a sun roof called a targa. Who was to know I've been driving a targa since I was 18. Daft? Of course we are diverse. You let me join.

That's because most sun roofs ( removable ones ) are typically about half the size of the 968's sunroof. The 968 coupe IS a targa ; the few inches of perimeter roof structure left all around after the sunroof is removed is negligible when compared to a targa . Better yet, it provides an extra reinforcement to the chassis , so our coupes are " Targa + " .

Just never heard the 968 coupe referred to in that way. So now I have 2 targa's. Wow. The targa top on the 997 is even larger than the 968 only it slides back. Our targa top is a PIA. Learn something new everyday. Thank you Jay.

Ok, back on topic - Bienevenue to the forum , I believe we have ( or had ) only one other member from France , who lives in Paris .

Also, I think we need to see your 968 in the below photo ( home town center ) to improve the scenery even more !!

Hello to all,

Thank you for your welcome and sorry for my English, it is translated by google.

I am 60 km from Paris and it is precisely to share our differences that I signed up for your forum. I can’t transmit a picture. The term "TARGA" means in France the models of 968 or 944 equipped with a sunroof

See you soon on your forums

You need to post 5 times, and then you can add pictures.

Hello from France.

I guess we are 3 at least. I live in Bordeaux and am a proud owner of a midnight blue 968 Targa. There is no active 968 forum in France, but the french 944 forum is a great source of information.

En français: Je suis de Bordeaux, j'ai une 968 targa bleue, intérieur gris. Le forum français 944 s'intéresse à toutes les PMA, tu y trouveras beaucoup d'informations utiles.

But at the end of the driving day when we gather for dinner, would we be able to find any wine , and if so, what kind ?! ;-) :-)

As I understand it, the French have at least a passing interest in wine. Surprising, right?
