Black Cab in Alameda
#1

Saw a black Cab parked on Oak Street in Alameda this morning a little before 10:00 a.m. I would have stopped and left my card, (hey Flash, can I get a few 968 Forum cards for just such an occasion?), but I was on my way home to watch Game Three of the ALDS.

Flash, do I detect a hint of terseness in your reply there. Thought the same about another thread I read today and thought it was my imagination. Go on give me a terse reply!

Two years ago, when my wife didn't make it to Paso you offered a refund and I told you to keep it for the site.

I wonder if the black cab is that guy who has been trying to sell his collection for insane $$$. From the ad's, they look like nice cars but the guy is off his rocker with what he wants for them. I love the line "I know what I have and what they are worth so don't offer some lowball amount"....no, you don't know what they are worth.

probably. a bit of an odd duck that one. i've talked to him a few times. he almost came to paso last year. i was actually looking forward to putting a face to the voice, and seeing where he is coming from.

His black Cab has a Montana plate. Interesting guy, nice car, but out of my price range. He knows a lot about the cars, which I respect. The price on the black one has been dropping, so at this rate in a year or two it will be in my range.
