Trying to gauge interest in a group buy for some pretty cool looking wheels. I am interested in the BBS LM with a gold face and polished lip but I don't have $4,000 for a set of wheels. A company I have bought several sets of Miata wheels from is now carrying a line of BMW fitment "replica" wheels. They have a knock off LM wheel called the LeMans and the BMW crowd seems to think they are a pretty good value. For around $1,150 we can get a set of 18" Porsche fitment in the correct size, width and offset. Correct being the same size as Htwo 18" Speedline wheels offered on Porsches of that era including the 968 Turbo S. No spacers needed. Attached photos of the real wheel, the knock off and a set of real ones on an RS Barn 968. Need 5 orders to place a custom build order. Anyone interested?

These are great looking wheels. Do you know the widths and weights? And the knockoffs are 1 pc. right, not 3 pc.?

If there's a lack of interest here, you may want to ask on some of the 944 forums...I'm sure you could find more than a handful of people there

I believe they all have to be identical. Same colors and size. There could be enough interest in these that they would do more than one color. All you need is 5 to get the color you want. They are one piece wheels. I know this is not going to be the most ideal wheel for everyone. Maybe Flash would like them better if they were chrome

I plan on keeping my stock 17" wheels for track days or when I actually care what the weight of the wheel is. I want these wheels just because they look bad ass and they are 1/4 the price of the real deal. Front wheels are 18 x 8 with a 52mm offset and the rears are 18 x 10 with a 65mm offset. If this isn't ideal for the 968 or you think we could go with a more agressive offset we can have them built however we want. Waiting for a response about the wheel weight. They might not be light weight but neither are OEM Porsche 18" wheels with a few exceptions.

I would want the rear offset much lower, along the lines of 54 or so

That sounds like a ringing endorsement...not to buy them...
YMMV,

Took a while but finally got the weight on these wheels. The fronts will weigh in at 23lbs and the rears at 25lbs. Not all that bad.
