Thanks Greimann, for doing the hard math for me & the rest of us 968ers.
Given that the stock springs are rated at #160 I don't think that 180# is too low a starting point, unless the car is heavily used on the track or for DEs every weekend.
After showing the graph to my son, he explained that after the first 1 inch of compression (once loaded) the spring rate almost doubles on its ramp up to 235#. 10mm of compression is less than 1/2". Many people have informed me that they have 200# coilovers and are very happy with that rate for street and occasional track use.
I would have prefered H&Rs (cause thats what most others have) but I think the B&Gs will be very close in performance once the twisties start. I will give a report of my impressions and include photos upon completion of current project.
Perhaps a replacement for the hard to find H&Rs has been found. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/cool.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
