Anyone ever given thought to incorporating (retrofitting) automatic lighting option to the 968? <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/blink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I think automatic headlamps might be a physical hazard considering they move when they turn on and off. It would be nice to have that action predictible.



I think there are auto dimming rear views in the aftermarket. Anyone?

I have the Donnelly autodimming mirror w/compass. I've very pleased with it. Note, though, that installation required changing the "button" on the windshield.



A number of years ago, I installed an automatic headlight module on a Jetta. Really liked it - but it was pretty sensitive, so going through some underpasses made the lights go on. I don't think I'd like to see the 968 headlights popping up and down that much. And, there are times when the headlights probably would come on that I drive with the fog lights (rather than the "frog" lights).

Thank you all - These are all excellent comments with regards to the pop-up headlamp and are all well taken. That one won't happen for me.
