I got rear-ended on the freeway yesterday. Thankfully, I would estimate it at only around 10 mph or so. My passenger and I were surprised, but not hurt and, fortunately, my neck doesn't feel stiff this morning. I have to say I am quite impressed with how solidly my 968 is built. One of the black square rear bumper guards took the brunt of it and just has some visible scrapes. There are also a couple of black marks on the bumper but, other than that, everything appears to be undamaged. I suspect if I had been in my old Miata, there would have been at least $1500-$2000 worth of damage. I'm planning to bring the car into my mechanic for an inspection, just to be on the safe side. Anything I should be especially concerned about? All advice welcome.

Take note of any mild back or shoulder pain today. i was rear ended many years ago by a car that was pushed into me by a dump truck traveling about 35mph. surprisingly, I leaped out of the car and ran to help the lady behind me who was in bad shape. I went in to work later that day. Around lunchtime is when the pain started to settle in. I guess my muscles were tense. The next morning it hit me like a ton of bricks. After 2 months of therapy my back. still isn't quite right.
I love my 968 for what it is & don't hate it for what it isn't!
