Are there any women here today?
#1

Seems like there is a major prevalence for XY type chromosomes present on the forum. To quote Monty Python - "Are there any women here today", or is 968 ownership more masculine than say Boxster ownership?

It's always been that way. I only recall one female that, for a while, was an active member. It was Kathy aka happysails2u (or something about sailing). She lived up in Annapolis .

I'd love to know whether there are any females here. As an ultra conservative PC kind of guy, I would love to entirely drop the PC moniker!!! Lol

" few have joined lately, but are not yet active."

Since it does appear safe at the moment to drop the PC guard, flash's remark above about women " not yet active " reminds me of a Bobby Slayton interview just a few days ago where he said that in an attempt to keep up with all the celebrity sex tapes he told his wife they should make a video also.. When she asked him why in the world he'd want to do that he replied : so I can replay the tape forward and backward , to make it look like you are actually moving .

Hmm, I wonder if he gave that interview from his hospital bed ;-)

Having learned in 1st grade not to trust women, Mother excluded, and had that reinforced throughout my life, I think caution will be my rule of the day. Liz wanted to know which Neanderthal wanted to know or was talking about the weight of woman's breast. I of course without batting an eye told her it was a woman new to the site trying to be funny to win all the men over and be one of the boys! She raised her eyebrow! I think she must of fell for it. This mentality explains the obvious question of why my distrust of women has been reinforced throught mt life. Lol

It is through discusion and discourse that we learn. I now know the average weight of a woman's breast (obviously I was over estimating previously. You learn the most amazing things through conversation.

Why is it we are neanderthals when we talk about breasts, but they can compare men's butt's and shoes/bags/clothes, etc? Got to love the double standards - and we were simply talking about the weight of a breast - purely technical.

I cried like a woman once so I might qualify. It was when I parked outside of my usual spot and my fiancee backed into my 968. One dented front quarter and a $4K repair later - well I guess I cried twice over that one.

Perhaps I should ask "What is your favourite colour"? Sorry - an adolescent life spent watching and quoting Monty Python. Or - "That piece of hallibut was good enough for Jehovah!"

Any way as gender is not included - is Hot968 saying that they are male or female of do not have an opinion - or in this day and age, gender neutral? Wasn't there someone in America raising their child gender neutral and then somehow they just found out whether they wanted to be male or female later (too bad if what you were born with didn't match the choice)? (I want you all to call me Lorretta, I want to have babies. . . . . . ).

The reason for the question is I have not seen any posts by female members, or is this just a gender neutral environment?

Sorry - back to the swallow story - the laughing Kookaburra - they like to eat snakes. They grab them and then take them up into trees where they smack them into the branch by flicking their head - pretty much until they break up. THey love sausages as they look a lot like snakes. So if you want to lose one of the defining features of an XY chromosome pair - a kookaburra is not a laughing matter.

Got to love Australian wildlife - it has a sense of humour.
