Someone ordered the car back in 1993/4 and then flew to Germany. Picked up the car at the factory and drove it around Germany for a week or two, then delivered it back to the factory. They in turn cleaned it up and shipped it to the states where the new owner was reunited with the car at his local dealer a few weeks later. Must have been a cool experience. Thet still offer it today. Notice on the first page of the maintenace book, where the USA dealer stamp would appear, there is the Porsche factory stamp.
